As a teen writing this blog, I think it is imperative for us teens to have each other’s backs.
I understand that this is a hard time, and there are a lot of changes going on (with high school, friends, etc.), but we have to build each other up, not tear one another down.
Insecurity is the main problem. As teens journey through middle school and onto high school, we feel more insecure and care more about what others think about us. Insecurity is one thing that is hard to control, but what you can control is how you handle it. Putting one another down to make yourself feel better will not solve your problem; if anything, it will make it worse.
We need to find the people who build us up. The more support you get, the better you will feel.
So from a teen 2 a teen, find your support group and build each other up.
